Reef Life Corals is a marine life identification app that covers a wide range of coral species and more. At present, Reef Life Corals features 381 fully documented and professionally photographed species, totaling over 500 images.

Designed for divers, snorkelers, and aquarium enthusiasts, this app not only aids in species identification but also provides valuable information about various saltwater creatures.

With GPS coordinates for over 200 oceanic regions and sub-regions, users can now benefit from a simplified identification process based on specific locations:

• You can choose from 31 pre-defined regional menus such as “Caribbean Sea,” “Australia, tropical,” or “West Coast USA” to view species exclusively from that area.
• Manually drop pins on our interactive map to search for species in the exact location of your choice. Save multiple searches in your “myPlaces” folder as needed.
• Select the “species in my current location” option to view only the species found in your present whereabouts.

Furthermore, Reef Life offers users the opportunity to contribute their own species to the app by adding details and images, as well as editing or updating information on user-created species.

For 3D Touch users, accessing features is quick and simple. The new “zoom view” feature on the image page allows users to magnify specific spots within an image by pressing on them. Additionally, each menu can be switched between list view and grid view layouts according to user preferences.

This upgrade markedly streamlines the process of identifying marine life animals. The app also emphasizes marine life conservation and education through two extensive sections comprising over 50 pages of educational and conservation material.

Reef Life operates on Apple’s latest programming language, Swift, offering full interactivity and offline functionality. This self-contained app eliminates the need for an internet connection, catering specifically to scuba divers in remote dive locations or on boats.
